I got my information from Wikipedia and Discogs and other sources around the net...
Ragnarok Rune was originally released as a one sided 12" EP with a one track endless loop grove on the deceased World Serpent. Interestingly enough, World Serpent didn't release that many albums. Normally World Serpent worked as a distributor. However, the few they did release are classics. Another point of interest on this release is that originally it was intended to be released by Douglas P.'s New European Recordings (NER) label. Douglas felt he did not have the time to spend on Ragnarok Rune and it was picked up by World Serpent.
Ragnarok Rune is playable at any speed, much like the early NON/Boyd Rice recordings of the 1970's. When it was released on CD, much to the dismay of Boyd1, the track was recorded at three speeds as separate tracks. 45rpm, 33 rpm, and 78 rpm. The B side of the album features a carved vinyl rune and contains no audio track. No doubt this was one of the first chinks in the armor between Boyd and World Serpent.
