Glenn Branca: The World Upside Down: A Ballet For Orchestra In 7 Movements (1990)
Performed by The New York Chamber Sinfonia conducted by Glen Cortese.
The World Upside Down is one of Glenn Branca's initial recorded forays into orchestral music -- but don't let the term "orchestral" put you off. Branca knows wells how to make the orchestra sing ethereally, as well as "rock" in the way only he can.
Performed by The New York Chamber Symphonia, The World Upside Down is a masterpiece of bright, organic structures & tones tempered in the eerie darkness typified by Branca's best work. The work was commissioned by the world-reknown Elisa monte dance troupe and is issued as one of the few full-length instrumental works recorded for contemporary dance. Sonically and emotionally boundless, seemingly comprised of interplanetary musics from the nether worlds, The World Upside Down's celstial nature will especailly appeal to fans of Branca's crystalline Symphony No. 3 recording. Beautiful studio recording produced by Wharton Tiers.

I completely forgot I had this. Sorry. It happens when you get old. Or drunk. Or high*. Or lack some sleeptime. Or when you're busy humpin' the wife. Or when you do it all at once.
* High through both runner's high from jogging, and sugar rush from holiday food, that is. Music is already enough drug.
Oh, now I remember: It doesn't have the greatest bitrate, but what the hell, have fun either way... If you want great sound quality, buy the CD...
