Spizzenergi 2 - Jungle Fever
On this date in 1982, Spizzenergi 2 released their eleventh single, "Jungle Fever". It was backed by "The Meaning". This was their eleventh single based on all the band's names. They had been around since 1978 and had been known up to this point as Spizzoil, Spizzenergi, Athletico Spizz 80, The Spizzles and, now, Spizzenergi 2. Neither track appeared on an album until a 1996 compilation. The English punk/new wave band effectively disbanded in 1982 but has gotten together on and off since then (under various names).

On this date in 1979, Spizzenergi released their third single, "Soldier Soldier". It was backed by "Virginia Plain". Neither song appeared on a regularly released album. They had been around since 1978 and had been known at various times as Spizzoil, Spizzenergi, Athletico Spizz 80, The Spizzles and Spizzenergi 2. The English punk/new wave band effectively disbanded in 1982 but has gotten together on and off since then (under various names).
